Fusion1, or anyone else--nut/saddle question

Reining PunLowered
I am looking to change the saddles in LesStrat (who is of Chinese Squier Strat heritage, prior to the metamorphosis). Fusion1 suggested in another thread that I go with the Graphtec PS 8000-00. Any other opinions? Also, should I change the nut at the same time? What would you recommend? How hard is it to change the nut?

I am certain that these questions have been answered before, but I didn't pay attention :smack:

Re: Fusion1, or anyone else--nut/saddle question

If you're a heavy trem user, I'd go with a Graphtech nutor better yet, an LSR roller nut. Pair either with a set of Sperzels or Schaller lockers and you'll have a lot less tuning problems.

Nope. Never put the trem arm in place (where is that thing, anyway? what DID I do with it?).

The Graphtec saddles are still a good idea then. I would still do the locking tuners (they make life sooo much easier :) ) and get a properly cut graphtec nut for better string action and less binding at the nut.
