Just watched the NAMM demo of the Kemper. Still trying to wrap my head around all its capabilities, but I thought they mentioned something about it not being able to copy effects? My Vox AD has served me well and helped me narrow down what tones I really like. I have a rather eclectic taste in music, can go from listening to Elliott Smith to The Melvins to James Brown to 80's Anthrax while just sitting around jamming out (although it really depends on my mood and I usually stick with what I'm feeling that particular day). I really like fender style clean/dirty, but still working out what suits me the best metal wise.
I'd like to narrow it down to a simple set up with a few pedals to get what I want. Finally taking lessons after years of playing/self teaching and finding that practicing with my acoustic helps me focus on practicing/learning without drifting off into sludgely riffs and general spaced out jamming
