G.A.S Attack! POD XT Live!

Argh! I have been really, really pleased with the POD 2.0. I could never bring myself to spend the extra $$$ to by the XT. But...this version would resolve some setup issues for live performance, and it has some new features that sound promising.

Of course, I'd have to sell my other POD gear first...I have the 2.0, gig bag, Floorboard, FB gig bag (which also holds the POD), and the POD mount (allows mounting on a mic stand or under an amp handle--I use it on the floor to angle it for easier access).

GAS is never easy, and usually stinks...

Here's a link for the object of my desire:

POD XT Live

Dude, i really want one myself as well. I would gladly sell my Ibanez prestige for one of those

Re: G.A.S Attack! POD XT Live!

i was seriously considering one, but thats too much stuff for me to mess with. i like the amp models, so the 2.0 is plenty for me.

Re: G.A.S Attack! POD XT Live!

Yeah I just got one about 3 weeks ago and am completely satisfied. The range of tones, being able to use the footswitches are a great convenience. I'm now a convert to the modeling world. 10's of thousands of dollars worth of equipment if I owned the real gear all wrapped up for $399. The variety of sounds you can get are just amazing, even to the point of where to set the mike in relation to the cab you select!

I don't know if the POD bean is any different tone wise, but I can definitely relate to G.A.S.!

Re: G.A.S Attack! POD XT Live!

I've been debating the XT Live and a Tonelab SE. I think I'm going to go with the Pod. Gas is great. :)

Re: G.A.S Attack! POD XT Live!

I just got the bean XT w/ the model packs...amazing stuff, an upgradeable too!

Re: G.A.S Attack! POD XT Live!

Yeah, but I STILL have the 2.0 and all it's accessories...not bad, but the XT Live would be SO nice. And MUCH more convenient.

Re: G.A.S Attack! POD XT Live!

I have been deciding if I should buy an XT or just get a used 2.0. The 2.0 are pretty cheap now, but do they sound good? I've never really messed with one.

How are the sounds compared to the pod 2.0? Is it at least as good? Anybody know?

The amp sounds in the XT are supposed to be better, and there are more effects choices.

I like the 2.0. I really have no complaints with it. The XT Live would just be easier for me to use in my situation (limited space, limited setup/teardown time).

Of course, I need to sell the old gear first...

I can relate! I sold my Traynor YCV80 and Ibanez w/Dimebucker for the XTL and Atomic. The Traynor is a fine amp, but I wanted a very wide range of tones and effects and this setup for me was the way to go.
