G&L Asat Classic 95' - New neck pickup

Good morning, I have a G&L Asat Classic with a Fender Texas Special on the neck. I like the pickup overall sound but it has too many mids (Bass and treble are ok). I've been looking for S.Duncan Alnico 2 Pro. Do you think it's the ideal or recommend something different? I need a good sweet sounding rythm pickup, without too much treble and mids. I use that guitar to play some pop/rock music.

My 93 Signature Classic came with a Duncan Vintage Stack in it, which is really spectacular. That has been discontinued and replaced by a similar sounding pup. Someone will be familiar with the name, before I can track it down. Highly recommended.

Can you lower the height of the Texas Special? That might level out some of the mid-heaviness of it.
