G&L import on the way

Been wanting a budget 'Super-Strat' guitar and came across this G&L Tribute Legacy HB for what I thought was a good price. I like the fact that it comes with coil-splitting for the bridge pup. I'm hoping the stock pups will be good enough for my needs, as I was really looking for something low-priced with no upgrading needed. Supposedly the pups and bridges on these imports are from the Fullerton, CA factory.

That is SWEET!!! You're gonna love it. I played a natural ash Tribute Legacy HB through a Vox AD50 while I was checking them out. I ended up paying more attention to the guitar than the amp that day....LOL. The electronics are done in the CA facility in the Tributes from what I understand. The pickups sounded pretty nice from what I remember. You got a heck of a deal too.

Erik, those natural ash ones are sweet. The only thing that might give me trouble is the 1 5/8" nut. I'm used to 1 11/16. However, it has the 12" radius fretboard that I prefer.

The neck profile makes up for the narrower nut width. It's very comfortable to play. I was amazed at the feel. If I could've, I would've bought it on the spot but I was amp shopping to start with. :)

I think you'll like the pups. That's one of the first humbuckers G&L ever made, and when you switch it to single coil it sounds like three matched single coils. Very cool.

The hardware is all Korean, but not lacking in quality at all. Killer guitars for the money. Actually, they're just killer guitars.
