G12-65 Speaker (Sealed, Open or Ported?)

I've been playing this speaker in a sealed cabinet with my D'Lite 22 and like it OK. The amp is capable of running 6V6 or 6L6 tubes. But I need that cabinet for something else so I need to buy a new one. I've found one of each of the above cabs.

What experiences do you guys have ... which one cab type sounds best to you and why?

Making a decision tomorrow ...

g12-65's came in sealed 4x12 enclosures and thats what we like, so My vote goes to sealed .

I ended up going with a Brown Note open back compact cabinet. It's light with the G12-65 and looks good. The open back emphasizes the bass a bit more than I expected ... humbuckers a little darker than I want but just need to play with the tone knobs a bit ... the single coils are improved. I'm pleased.

you might try a ported type cab, boogafunk, or hermida, with an ev type speaker.

My JCM 800 2x12 open back combo came w/those spkrs. It sounded great!

I think it will be OK ... I like the G12-65 better than I liked my EVM-12L with this particular amp. The G12-65 was just a bit less pronounced on the bass in the sealed cab I was running it in. My first day with the new cab ... only played on it for about a half hour ... not worried.
