G12M70 mixed with G12T75?

I've got a mint JCM800 1960a cab loaded with a quad of G12M70's. I have two early 90's G12T75's laying around that I'm considering using in the cab.

Anyone know how these speakers play together when x-patterned?

I would think that they would sound good. The 12T--75's would add some top and bottom to the mix.

I put in the two newer G12T75s and my word...I'm not used to so much kerang!

Okay...so I've completely adjusted to the new sound of my cab. It is...BETTER! It was a very smooth cab originally with the four 70's in it, but now...now it has that characteristic Marshall/Celestion bite and snarl. The clarity is improved as well. The cab is more raw and jagged sounding now and in a good way. I'm glad I did this.

Yes...a lot of "those speakers suck" kind of responses. Haha! And, hey...they may be right, but together they are sounding divine!!!!!!

G12M70 speakers get an undeserved bad rap. I have a quad in a 4x12 and they make every amp sound great.

Do they sound like Greenbacks? Of course not, but to some folks, that's a good thing.

'Course, now I'm going to have to get a pair to put in my cab too.
