g7th or Planet Waves NS Capo

Beandip pointed out something that I had suspected, but since I'm new to the Capo scene wasn't sure of; my capo sucks.

I use it on an electric twelve, and the G7th looks great, but costs over forty bucks. I'm pretty strapped for cash, but I need it for the band, so if I gotta spend it, I gotta spend it. I also saw the Planet Waves NS Capo that had good reviews and is only around fifteen bucks. Case of you get what you pay for, or G7th is overpriced?

Appreciate you thoughts bros.

Either one will work. You need something with adjustable tension, since the force used for an acoustic is much more for an electric. I'd go with the first, and see if you can get it in hot pink. I had a hot pink capo for years that no one ever wanted to steal...every other color would somehow come up missing.

OMG, that's funny. My wife has hot pink nail polish. That'll work. :naughty:

Thank you sir, I just got it.

BEANDIP! I got the Shubb and it is like night and day compared to the Kyser. Wow. I can even tune the guitar while the capo is on, which has pretty much fixed all my problems. Aceman said something like that in another post and I was like "yeah right, I'll sit there and take off the capo, tune the string, take off the capo again, tune the string, and I'll do that for all twelve." Until today, I didn't know that you could actually tune the guitar with the capo on. The Kyser's tension was so tight that it was like a locking nut.

Thank you for suggesting that and saving me about twenty five bucks. You rule. You too Aceman.

Hey man, glad you dig it. I switched over to a Shubb a few years ago, and like you said, it's night and day.

I still keep a Jim Dunlop clamp style capo in my case as well, for whenever I jam and someone needs one. But don't touch my Shubb.
