why don't mexi teles have rosewood fretboards as an option? even the squiers have that option

I can think of plenty of MIM Teles with rosewoond fretboards. Hell, the all rosewood Tele (really just a rosewood cap on black-painted Alder, but it looks nice) is MIM.

I guess they just didn't make the standards with rosewood this year...shop used, i guess...or embrace that maple twang, get some Choking Victim ska stylee goin on...

and I've had bad expiriences buying used, the last used MIM i got had tons of fretwear & dirty pots

of course the shop didn't tell me that, though

You couldn't see fretwear and hear dirty pots when plugging it into an amp (before paying for it)? That's not the shop's fault...

Look at Highway 1 teles, mostly American parts assembled in Mexico.

well the plan was to make a nashville tele for cheaper

but it looks like I'd be better off just getting a nashville tele
