So today everyone in the house was gone. and i was playing my Agile LP clean into my Epiphone Galaxie 10 amp. I decided to whip out my EHX Double Muff and try it out and see if I really hated it as much as I think I did.
So I used the single Muff and it gave me a nice pushed slight grit. Then I activated Both Muffs cascading into each other and cranked em...
Rolling off my Air Classics tone control and I was in heaven!...
THEM BLAM! something from my tone dissapeared. like my high end and lively mids all were gone and my amp was kinda farty sounding...
I havent had time or oppourtunity since going to work to really inspect it since.
now my question is could I have blown my amps speaker? I mean is it possible to blow and 30watt 10" Celestion Tube 10 speaker with a amp that only puts out 10watts? The double muff was pushing the amp hard...
I hope not...looks like I wanna keep the double muff though...its like a cool fuzz overdrive now taht I gave it a chance
