QC is down tonight :smack:

Haven't played much all weekend... having another "phase"

It was the RS530 on this track, the gordon smith is tuned in D and the thick strings seem to have robbed the guitar of all bite, so I'm doing solos on the RS for now... which isn't sounding too much better :laugh2: I'll probably just switch back to a fresh set of 10s on my gordon smith and put thick strings on the ibanez and tune that down instead.

Re: Gambale backing track Jam

nice work nuntius ... i loved the panned double tracking approach ... nice tone and real fluid lines ... gambale is one of my favs ... i got to study (and jam) with him back in the early 90s at natl. guitar summer workshop - he was friendly and encouraging and informative

keep it up :)

cheers

Re: Gambale backing track Jam

Thanks guys :D

Snufkin - I was having an off day. Lame excuse, but one of the reasons I did the "duelling guitars" approach was because I was having trouble improvising fluidly.
As I pretty much always improvise solo's thats a bummer for me, so I just took it a phrase at a time and panned them.

Almost got away with it :laugh2:
