I had asked about these several weeks ago & seems like nobody on here had one... so I rolled the dice & ordered up. Came in this afternoon...
$100 for the pedal board WITH a power supply!!! Can't beat that, the power supply alone is $80!
I haven't had a chance to do anything other then look at it & take some pics but I'm pretty impressed with the quality, especially for the money. The board itself is made from 3/4" plywood with edges covered in black tolex & has a full velcro face. There's a slot maybe 1/4" wide by several inches long for power supply cables to pass through to the bottom mounted PSU brick. The board is angled up maybe 2" on plywood runners. Feels pretty sturdy & solid.
The top mounted handle is a nice heavy duty rubberized plastic thing & the whole deal slides into the padded carry case with the pedal board handle being the "cased" handle if that makes sense. The bag has a decently sized stash pocket... not very deep but big enough for music books, a couple of cables & other bits. The case isn't super plush & padded but it seems adequate. I wouldn't "check" my pedals on an airline flight in this, but it seems fine for car travel. The zipper is of quality too.
The power supply brick is a solid aluminum casing & mounted directly underneath the board. There's eight 9-volt taps & three 18 volt taps as well. No idea how it functions yet, I'll find out later this week. Hopefully it can run my Uni-Vibe without a hitch. The only cheese whiz on the works is that the power brick runs off an AC adapter which seems kinda light weight and the connector looks somewhat fragile. I'll have to figure something out there because I really doubt I'm gonna want to keep plugging & unplugging it from the actual power supply. Given the smallness of the connector I'd really hate to wrestle with the thing on a dark stage. It doesn't seem like there's enough room under the board to mount the wall wart... hmmmmm...
Here's some pics... I got the "small" board which is like 16" by 12". I thought it might be too small (my old board is like 30" x something) but it's really a nice size. I just threw some pedals on there to get an idea...
The white stripes are the Velcro backing that came with it. Nice! It came with everything you'd need for a pedal board but the pedals!
