Gearjoneser...Is This True? Bogner Content

Re: Gearjoneser...Is This True? Bogner Content

Yeah, the truth is that amp is one of, if not the greatest, amp ever made.
When Reinhold was making the original Ecstasys at his first location on Lankershim Blvd, they had a white chassis. There was the 100B and then the 101B loaded with features. The white chassis ones had some extra magic. I have one of the white chassis 101B's, and I'd never sell it under any circumstances.

This amp is worth the $3700 they want for it, and these early models will be highly sought after. The comments in his Emails about Soldano make me laugh, because this 100B will kill about any amp in existence. I'd expect all the white chassis Bogners to appreciate to around $10,000, like Dumbles in a few years.

Here's my 94 101B white chassis.

I had just never heard of the 100B, and figured if it was that much better, that you'de either have one on your list to get, or would have tried it and found your 101B to be better.

He just says the 101A and b are nasal thin...and I've never heard them described that way.

The guy that sold me mine was a guy that had some money, and he lived near Bogner and was one of the first customers. He owned about 4 of them, and told me mine was his last one, and his favorite. He was pretty reluctant to let it go, and I remember him saying that it sounded the same as his 100B, but had a nicer sounding red channel, and the grill looked better. This is the first time I'm noticing that the grill on the 100B is flat, and the one on mine and all the other metalfronts have a serrated edge on the grill. There's a few differences in features too. My amp and the one in your link have cabinet assigning, which Bogner no longer offers. You can assign different channels to different cabs, even at different ohms ratings!
