Genuine Seymour Duncan ?

I just got a Tele bridge pickup from eBay and have doubts about it's authenticity. In the eBay title it states that it is a Seymour Duncan Tele Bridge pickup. In the item description it states that it is a Vintage Broadcaster pickup. Right away I saw that the wires were incorrect and the output was very low, 6.1k. Now I'm not even sure that its a Seymour Duncan pickup at all. Any thoughts/opinions?

Yes, the wires are not cloth, but plastic. The ground wire connection to the baseplate looks reflowed and burned. The thingy looks too new for 30 years.

Re: Genuine Seymour Duncan ?

It is probably a duncan bobbin that has been reworked, rewound, repaired. The plastic wire and shoddy soldering is a dead giveaway.

I hope you got a good deal on it and that it works and sounds good to you...it is not authentic.
