Genz-Benz El Diablo 60c Sound Clip Demo

here's a shaky little recording i did with my new genz-benz (you'll have to turn up the volume to hear it well). i go through the clean channel in bridge and neck positions using chords, scales and a few arpeggios. then i go through the vintage gain and high gain channels, and polish it off with the compression feature which makes it sound really high gain using the same kind of sloppy playing.

this is a great sounding amp and you can hear how good the clean channel is even in this crappy recording. the sound is thick and clear and the gain is killer - never muddy sounding. i'll try to post a better clip when i have some time.

Darn you for making me want that amp even more...

I really like both gains... not too sure on the cleans though...

Nice chops by the way bro.

thanks, but i'm sure the cleans are better than my recording would allow. as for the playing, it was sloppy and unplanned, but you can hear the articulation you get even at super high gain settings. great amp and, IMO, YOU SHOULD WANT IT!

I kinda wish I knew about the el diablo when I was looking for a new amp. I really love my orange, but it would have been nice to check out some other options. I was always under the impression that genz benz were cheap crappy amps for some reason, I dunno why.

I'm hoping a lot of folks think like you for a while... this way I can find one even cheaper... ;)

There you go buddy, now that's an amp that really suits your playing style, and at the right volume levels for playing at home and recording. It's versatile, has good all round tone, and doesn't need any extra drive at the front end. Work with that!

Cheers..............................wahwah

Yep, this amp makes you soud better than anything I've heard before, i.e. it suits you, brings out you out of your playing. Really dude, for what you do this thing is way better for you than a marshall.
P.S.
Its annoying how this one aussie always reads my mind and posts exactly what I just thought right before me.

Re: Genz-Benz El Diablo 60c Sound Clip Demo

I disagree. I think this is the worse one yet. You need to go back to the drawing board and keep looking for your tone...because this one's mine. ;)

Re: Genz-Benz El Diablo 60c Sound Clip Demo

really? i don't even know what my playing style is to be honest. i spend so much time practicing that my fingers get raw and i just end up playing stuff. i'm just learning to try and focus that into actual music. i'm starting to get good at making short pieces, so i'm trying to learn how to put it together and make whole arrangements.

out of curiosity, what do you think my "playing style" is? i'm not really sure what people hear when they hear me play - especially since i always just record stuff cold. i don't really know how to put something together and record it properly to be honest with you guys.

did anyone actually listen to the whole clip?
