Well if youve got one or have tried one make a post with what you like.

I love my 100w head and the Gflex 2x12 is incredible, doesnt bottom out or fart at all.

well........:bigok:

Lucky bastard! I want El Diablo with that cab! One day... I can't believe how they pulled it off!?!

Re: Genz-Benz owners/appreciation thread

Something tells me this is going to be a real short thread. Not because the Genz Benz el Diablo isn't a fantastic amp, but because it's one of the amp world's best kept secrets. I'm the happy owner of the 60 watt el Diablo combo and I love it. The only issue I've had with it so far is that it has such an awesome, authoratative tone I think I may have to take some more guitar lessons. I can't blend into the wall of sound anymore with this thing. I can actually be heard, and heard with a fantastic tone. I figure I should have something to say with this tone. ;)

More of a small-amp guy, I'd love to try out a Black Pearl. Guitar Player gave it a good review a couple months back, said it sounded good and had some cool features that made it very versatile.

Of course with 4xEL84, it's still too loud for me, but it would be fun to try.

I love my El Diablo 60C. It is a great amp on its own for nearly everything, and even takes pedals well. Nearly a perfect amp to me.

I want a G-Flex 2x12 for my 6505 very badly.

After trying to lug around a 4x12, I decided it's pretty much a lost cause.

One of those pedals wouldn't happen to be a Univibe of some sort, would it? Tone-wise this amp gives me everything I need from warm cleans to dirty overdrive to all-out flames and barbed wire. I've been curious about adding a vibe sound to it though and am wondering which would work best with this amp.

Hello!

No, not vibrato or tremolo pedal at this point. Delay - reverb - various OD-distortions-fuzz - something for 4-5 channel tones depending an what we are doing at the time. The amp does nearly everything you would want, but at 2 channels and no footswithable reverb it requires some things in the live context for me from time to time (or to walk over and spin knobs I suppose).

Re: Genz-Benz owners/appreciation thread

ypu can get a simple switch for the reverb on/off though

Re: Genz-Benz owners/appreciation thread

Really ... where? How does it hook up? There is not a jack for it that I see anyplace.

oh maybe the 60 doesnt have that. my 100 has a jack on the back so i can plug a generic on off footswitch into it.

Definitly annoying that they didnt put the button on the pedalboard in the firstplace.
