Geoffrey Teese - Beyond Amazing Service

I know I often sing the praises of the Teese RMC wahs. I really feel they are that good.

As good as they are though, they can't compare to Mr. Teese's level of customer service.

Not only had he always responded to every email with settings questions etc within a few hours time, but I had a bit of an issue with a pot giving me some trouble and some suggestions he made didnt work to resolve it.

He said to send him the pedal and he would repair it free of charge and ship it back, as well as update a couple of componets to bring it up to his most up to date design.

I shipped the pedal out Monday and he recieved it today, repaired it, sent me an email letting me know its done and is sending it back already!

1 day turn around folks!

I've sent items into Roland, Sony, EHX, Mackie etc and I'm lucky to get something back in 3-4 weeks. Once had a Kurzweil keyboard repair that took about 3 months!

Never mind the fact that they are the best sounding wah's on the planet, if your thinking of buying one but think the price might be a bit steep, ITS WORTH IT.

His level of service alone makes the pedal worth twice as much easily.

Just thought that deserved to be shared with the rest of you

Re: Geoffrey Teese - Beyond Amazing Service

I had a problem with a switch nearly 3 years after I bought my RMC 1. I e-mailed Geoffrey to ask what sort of switch I should get to replace it, and he asked for my mailing address. He sent me a brand new switch (to Australia) at his expense. After I had a tech replace the switch, I e-mailed him a photo of the guts of the pedal to check that everything was as it should be. He e-mailed me back immediately and said that it seemed ok, but it was a little difficult to check because he was only viewing it on his laptop because he was AWAY ON VACATION!!! The guys taking a holiday and still answering questions to some guy in Australia who bought one pedal from him three years ago!

Not only does he build the best sounding wahs on the planet, Geoffrey Teese also sets the standard for customer service by which all others will be judged. Good thread millsart, people should know about this stuff.

Cheers.............................wahwah

Next effect purchase will either be a Thundertweak Delay or a RMC-3 wah... I'll probably go with the Real McCoy. :)

Gonna go all the way for the 3 huh!

Great pedal but Im just not a pedal yweaking guy...Im more a plug and play. The RMC3 is an amazing pedal and can produce just about every wah tone you could ever want or need!

Re: Geoffrey Teese - Beyond Amazing Service

I bought one of his FK-1 Compressors and after awhile the pots got scratchy. And they are sealed pots, so I couldn't clean them.

I sent Geoffrey Teese an e-mail and he got right back to me and let me know that Dunlop actually made those pedals for RMC and who to contact at Dunlop for service.

Before I had chance to contact Dunlop, I got an e-mail from Dunlop, saying that Geoffrey had asked them to help me. Sent the pedal off to Dunlop and they fixed it right away. That's first class service by Dunlop and RMC.

It's a great compressor, by the way. I bought another one when they were on sale because they aren't made anymore. And of course when it came time to buy a new wah, I bought a Picture Wah. I respect and support people who take care of their customers. Especially when the products are great, too.

A lot of the "boutique" builders have this kind of service, and Mr Teese is just one of them. It is part of the reason I feel safer buying a wah pedal through him, instead of something stock.

Excellent. You rarely hear about serve like that these days. Congrats.

Re: Geoffrey Teese - Beyond Amazing Service

Just spoke to hime via Email yesterday. I have been contemplating a new Wah (I already have 3), and wanted to get some direct feedback from him. Iwant something that will work with any amp/guitar configuration. According to his website and the breif explanation of each Wah it looks like the Wheels of Fire Wah or the picture Wah would be best for me. He told me that both will do what I am looking for, but suggested I look at the Joe Walsh sig. Wah also. He responded in about an hour. Sometime in the next month or so I will have to head in to 30th Street guitars to see what they have to try!
