Stunning!
What is your fretboard radius?
Also, what's up with the string ferrules on the back? It looks like they are mounted in a separate block that is inlayed into the back, or clear plastic under the ferrules.
Love, love the neck!

hi man,
I use a 16" radius, sort of the best of both worlds, but it is compounded to around 18" past the twelfth.
the block at the back is the same type of timber as th top, bit of an experiment, so the strings don't pass through the hog on the back, it's all Queensland maple. I read an interesting article on how the string length behind the bridge affects the whole tone of the string, so I thought I try to keep it running through the same timber. I will be honest, I don't think it affects the tone that much, but hey, gotta keep trying stuff. It was an interesting exercise in routing the exact piece all the way through. Very tight fit.

I don't think that running the strings through the same type of wood will affect the tone at all. The length of the string behind the bridge may not affect the tone either, but it WILL affect how stiff the strings feel while you're playing.
