Try this link for Bandmaster info. You'll have to find out which BM he used. Blackface and Silverface BM's are just heads and are relatively cheap. There are also other Fender heads that are in the same ballpark...the Bassman head might be a good bet for that kind of music; those are generally a bit more money than the Bandmaster.

My guess would be that that type of guitar through an old Fender would be a good combo for that kind of music. Maybe you can find some pictures of his live show from the 70's (before his period of mainstream popularity) and look to see what's on his backline.
