Hey guys

8 months since my last post - yow!!

Anycase, I assume here would be the best place to post this. Trying to identify the magnets used in these pups..



Loooove that tone. They are spec'd at "7.68k and 7.96k", so half the battle is done, but for the life of me I just can't figure out magnets they're using.

Any opinions here?

The guy the the video is very entertaining I must say. That is a beautiful sound. The mags no idea, I know p 90s have 2 mags each, my guess a5.

I doubt that there have been any mods to the pups. The stock Gibson P-90s come with 2 A5 mags each, neck and bridge.

There is no question that the bridge has 2 A5 mags in it. Absolute!

I assume the neck also has 2 A5s, but it sounds a bit softer than my Gold Top. I attribute that to the wood. Also my Gold Top is a DC so mine has a bit less wood to give that nice depth. However, that tone can be created in my neck P-90 with 1 or 2 UOA5 mags or possibly an A5/A4 combination.
