Get This!!!!!

I picked up my old, first, guitar..Squire Strat today to fix it up. I bought a hot rails bridge a long time ago but did not really know how to put it in, and did not have the money. ....well after about 8 months of it sitting on my room floor, my mom brought home a soldering iron for me. Through 2 hours of fixing the wiring and making sure everything looked right (output jack wiring was messed up), I finally got it together. I hooked it up to my Proco Rat pedal...and BAM!!!!!!!!
WTF, How can this be, can my old squire strat sound better than my Epi Les Paul??
Better cleans, thicker distortion? Switch to neck pick-up and SRV tone!

I may just be in a phase, but isn't it crazy?!?

you'd be surprised how much a little time and attention can influence our 'favorite of the day' ... i bet if you spent a few hours dialing in the epi lp, you'd remember why you loved it so much ... no reason not two have to favs - they are different enough in feel and tone to fit different situations ... it's why many (most?) of us on this board have (way?) more than 1 guitar

those are the reasons i have more than one guitar. they all feel and sound different. congratulations on finding a tone to bring your squire back to you

Hope it works for me too, I just got a Hot Rails for my old Squier Strat...
