Getting a Bridge Only vs a Set?

The Alnico Classic Pros sound pretty good in my Epi SG but I want to hot rod it a little.

I am looking at a Whole Lotta Humbucker set but I’m considering just getting the bridge.

I rarely play the neck alone but I sometimes will play the neck and bridge combined with the tone on the bridge turned down.

I play the bridge only about 90% of the time.

If the stock neck pick up sounds pretty good does it matter just swapping out the bridge with a WLH? It would save me $$$ for sure.

Just get the bridge pickup...it will sound great.

I used to not use my neck PU's, but spin-a-split changed that. Now I can clean them up and add as much treble & clarity as I want, by rolling a knob. Makes them much more versatile, and totally blows away regular coil split.

Holy cow the WLH bridge sounds freaking sweet in my Epi SG. It pairs up great with the stock Alnico Classic Pro neck pickup (Alnico V magnets).
