Getting my custom shop A2P (Slash) next week, hopefully

I ordered it last week and just heard it should be done/sent to my dealer sometime this week. Hopefully I'll have it sometime next week! I actually only ordered one for now, the neck position. This was simply because I have a TON of bridge pickups I gotta try out first but I honestly think that I'll end up ordering the matching custom shop bridge pickup too.

I know the neck will be great since that's the tone I've been using in that position for awhile, but I've never been able to really nail it with other pickups. I've got a bunch of bridge pickups, mostly high outuput one and I'm honestly not digging them too much, I think I'd like to go with something with less output but with the same type of general body/feel (hard to really describe since I've been using a few lately). For this type of tone/guitar, I don't really want super crunchy modern tone, I'm going for more of a vintage sound with more balls

I'll be sure and post some thoughts when it arrives...

If I remember correctly, it's scatter wound on antiquity hardware and slightly aged. There may be more differences, but that's what I can remember. I'll probably order a set myself when I get around to ordering a LP or a Heritage LP.

i ordered a set of custom shop slash pickups last week too. can't wait to get them. i asked them to age them a little too and they said they'd do it for no charge. awesome.

I can't wait to hear how you get on with the Custom. I've been toying with the idea of upgrading my LP 2003 sotck pickups for a while now.

What kind of finish are you going for - zebras?? :32:

just talked to mj at the cs and she said my cs slash's shipped last thursday. i should have them this week also. i can't believe it only took like 3 days for them to complete my pickups. mj said she had several orders for these, i guess that's why they went ahead and just did a small run of them.

Cool, I know I've talked with a couple people/heard of a few that have ordered some too. I'll be curious to hear others' thoughts on the bridge too.

I cant wait to hear reviews on these!!!!! I am curious to hear what kind of tone difference there is between the custom shops and the standard APH set. If you folks could also measure the resistance, That would be great!!! After the reviews, I will most likely order a set also.
