I have an Epiphone SG G-400, which has a mahogany body, and I use Ernie Ball Beefy Slinky strings, which are guages 11-15-22p-30-42-54.
I usually have my guitar tuned to DGCFAD, because with that guage of strings, its a bit harder to bend 'em unless I detune.
I just have the stock pickups in there right now, but I'm looking to change.
I play some punk, indie, and just rock in general.
I like nice, bright clean notes, but I wanna be able to dial it up to 11 for some serious crunch as well, so they gotta be versatile.
I don't think I can go wrong with the SH-1/SH-5 set up, but I'd like to try something else.
I've heard good things about and from the SH-10 Full Shred and the SH-6, and like the Soapbars alot. I don't know what would go good with the Full Shred or SH-6, though, and the same goes with the Soapbars.
What are your guys thoughts on this?
