getting that Iced Earth tone

hey anyone know what the guitarists in Iced Earth use? (pickups, guitars, amps)

I'm really liking this band, like a mix of old Metallica and Iron Maiden.

I think John Schaefer plays Jacksons or BC Rich; not exactly sure. Sorry, but I really dislike his guitar sound. I think he uses Marshall amps, as well.

Gibby's on everything I've seen, and looked like a Vintage Marshall in the newer video.

I saw Iced Earth with Children of Bodom at The Rave in Milwaukee on the 23rd and they SUCKED! John was playing a stock LP Studio and a SG Custom through a JCM 200 DSL 100 and a Bogner Uberschall. For cleans he used a JC-120.

I used to like Iced Earth a lot, but I must say that I was not the least bit impressed with this show. If it hadn't been for Children of Bodom's mind blowing performance I would have fealt very ripped off.

John Marshall and Bogner?? What happened to his own little custom made amp by Larry (not sure what his last name is) from Germany?? He loved that amp and he said that was his signature sound.
