Hi, I was looking around GFS's site the other day & I came across this single humbucker Strat copy. It's a Slick guitar not Xavier or whatever their brand of guitar is??? I guess there's not a lot of difference because it's all GFS parts just designed by Earl Slick? Anyway, I have a very, very cool humbucker & I've been thinking about building a guitar with a single bucker route around it so I don't have to sacrifice one of my Stratocasters or other guitars because I have them all set up the way I like now & don't want to mess with perfect!!! This thing is almost exactly what I had in mind for a build, aside from the bridge, & it's only $220??? When I say exactly I mean the wood, ASH, solid bridge, it's a wraparound, I wanted a hardtail but pretty close, & It has a relic look to it done with thin auto paint & then rubbed off in all the right places? I was going to use nitro but the same idea? So I can have this thing for the same amount of money as I'd spend on a blank, but is it worth it??? If anyone has tried these things & has some feedback please chime in! I'm not looking for a miracle, I just want to know if it's on par with a MIM Strat or another import as far as platability? Thanks a bunch!!!!!
