Nice finish, and cool that they do the frets over the binding. All the other differences between it and a regular Paul are lame.

Hemp case? Whoa wtf... do you get a hidden discount for concurrently purchasing a set of Cannabis Rexes, a legalize strap, and MJ pickups??

My thinking exactly and the knobs are atrocious. “Robot” tuners are a sin against mankind. It also comes in (not making this up) "Mellow Out Green". Dumb name nice finish.

Gibson seem to have done alot of new things this year. 6 new pickups apparently, including the new '61 classic humbuckers, which are replacing the mismatched 490R/498T combo in the LPJs, not to mention that the LPJs won't look silly anymore with the new zebra pickups instead of those black plastic covers. Lets hope these new pickups are good.

They've also started to use graphptech nuts and non-slip knobs and the new Les Paul classic seems to be a production version of the Les Paul Traditional II.

The announcement on their website though, one-piece fingerboards really got me, are they trying to say that they didn't use one piece fingerboards before?

Honestly I don't really get the point of the Les Paul Peace model, the whole peace thing is so gimmicky.

I think the worst part of the new 2014 lineup is that they still won't bring back the Flying V and Explorer, real bummer, I never really understood why they discontinued them.

Peace was always a curious, double-headed entity back in the late 1960s/ early 1970s. just as it was between the early white settlers in America and the native population .... one minute it would be 'peace on', a few days later it would be 'peace off'.

you know, I wonder.
I wonder if I smoked out instead of hating it like I did/do, if I would have met different people and not associated with the people I do now, and I would be a successful (or still trying to be) musician.

Im building a 4x4 Cannibus Rex cab. 12x4 2x2=4 x2, x2=2ohm for my bassman. i'll bet that case sounds great.
