I'm trying to modify my Epiphone SG-400.

I'm thinking of mainly rock 60/70 AC / DC, etc..

Gibson 490T would be more interesting or GFS Vintage 59 Alnico Boutique PAF in bridge? Gibson 490R or GFS Vintage 59 Alnico Boutique PAF neck?

GFS P-90's get good comments here, but their HB's are hit or miss. Why gamble and lose? I've got a couple 490T's (that I bought used) and put UOA5's in them, to get more bite and crunch than the stock A2. Your best bet for a HB is to get a used American or European-made one, which costs about as much as a new GFS.
