TBH, there are a few pickups that work well for Metal in a Les Paul. I just kinda love the 500T. I also love the JB. The 500T is definitely more "Metal"-sounding than the JB, though. Tighter with more attack. But I like how the JB is a straight focused punch in the midrange. Feels really up-front and has a hint of that "rough-around-the-edges" 90's and 2000's sound. I mean... Arch Enemy, right?
