THX a lot
It depends on your definition of good. I think current era Gibson pups are over priced and don't deliver quite honestly. But some folks like them. An EMG 81 is a completely different animal not necessarily the best but different. It is active and very high output whereas a burstbucker is passive and low-medium output. For a similiar sound you would want to try a PAF type pup. I'd recommend a set of 59s, Jazzes, Seths, PGs, A2Ps, or one of these with a custom series bridge pup. The custom series is still PAFish but with a kick in the face. It just depends how vintage you want to sound.
59s-(alnico 5 magnet) good bass and highs, can sound muddy in the neck position
Jazzes-(alnico 5 magnet) fair bass good mids and highs, very articulate
Seth Lovers-(alnico 2 magnet) brighter A2 pup but with good mids as well
A2Ps-(alnico 2 magnet) very even sounding very warm and rounded highs
PG-(alnico 2 magnet) good mids extra sizzle in the presence knob range highest output PAF
C5-(alnico 5 magnet) which has a scooped mid
CC-(alnico 2 magnet) which has a prominent mid
Custom-(ceramic magnet) a more aggressive sound with good mids and highs
If you want high output that screams go invader or distortion. I know a guy with an invader in his epi lp and he loves it.
Hope this helps man.
