Gibson creme vs. Duncan creme

Here's a completely stupid and petty question! :22:

I've noticed that the "creme" color of Duncan covers/pups is different than the creme used by Gibson covers/binding/pickguards.

The Gibson color is darker and has more pink/orange in it. Will the Duncan covers eventually age to look the same? It's not a big deal. Just curious why they're different...

Truth be told, I like the Duncan color better..

Re: Gibson creme vs. Duncan creme

I just put these zebras in my LP one hour ago (PGn and Customb) the creme matches the binding around the pickups but not the pickguard or the binding on the guitar. Everything is stock except the pickups. I added a pic. It's the first pic I've tried so I hope it works.

For me, the Duncan P90 covers only match the pickup selector switch tip but not the binding, pickguard, or switch ring thing that says rhythym/treble. It doesn't necessarily look bad. Just wonder why there's not a standard "creme" color.

If it goes to looks, i would rub off the logo frist. I normally look for used pups on ebay, the logo is only one reason!
