Up for sale is my 1999 40th anniversary Les Paul '59 plaintop re-issue.
Although designated a plaintop, around 250 made, it has some nice flame when viewed from certain angles which looks very authentic as does the beautiful Heritage Cherry sunburst finish. Nice tall frets stock and has recently had a bone nut installed, fret dress and setup thanks to Barrie in Machinehead in Herts and plays perfectly.
The pickups currently are Lollar Imperials with aged nickle covers which sound superb and have a little more vintage vibe than the stock pickups. Other upgrades include a lightweight tailpiece and RS Guitarworks True-tone kit.
Includes Historic black case, all case candy and 40th anniversary certificate.
Guitar is in played but good condition. Some buckle rash on the back and the odd nick and bump here and there. The guitar had Grovers installed but is now back to the stock Kluson tuners using 10mm Pigtail bushings.
Price: £2300
