Gibson Les Paul plastic color---which one's pink?

I have a Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro 2 from 2013. The binding, pickguard, pickup rings and poker chip are all what they call "antique". It's really kind of a pink hued white color that I would guess it supposed to be kind of like a faux-aging based on the name "antique".

I just got a set of BKP Mule's in double cream in there that are flippin SWEET! But now the plastics all look kind of off. I'm thinking the best I can do is swap out everything I can and well.......the binding just won't match but at least the top would look more uniform.

I was looking at this set from Creamtone as the best potential colormatch to my cream pickups? So hard to tell? Anyone else come across this?

ive definitely run into the cream of one company not being the same as the cream of another. i havent found a great solution and the hue of anything on a screen is always suspect.

When I bought my LP Standard new in 1994, the binding was tan, the poker chip was yellow, the rings were ivory, the pickguard was pinkish tan, the tuners were green and the inlays were blue. Now, after 27 years, they all match.

Go to a paint store and ask for the most boring color... white. They'll laugh in your face and hand you a book with dozens and dozens of whites.

For reasons beyond comprehension, some of Gibson's "cream" colored plastics yield a really strong fleshy-pink undertone. I've seen some truly hideous examples and even sold a Les Paul once for this very reason.

Unfortunately, nothing else matches that pinky-cream tone. Good luck

I pulled the pickguard. Looks better and the pickup rings are do-able next to the cream pickups. For whatever reason the pickup rings aren't as pink. Ordered a new creamtone guard to see if that helps. I kind like the no pickguard look but hate the holes.

Put the pickguard in a window for a couple years, the colour will change. I put some mismatching cream coloured stuff on my 335 about 15 years ago (pink rings, double cream duncans, lighter cream binding) and after a really long time outside of the case they all seem to be playing nicely together now.

Gibson's cream has never been consistent. If you like your pickups, keep them. Throw covers on them. Don't switch them out for color.

I've used Creamtone on a few guitars. Good price, good color, but sometimes doesn't fit. I've had to reshape a LP cavity cover to fit, SG tenon cover did not fit at all (had to be trashed), SG truss rod cover didn't fit.

Also, some have reported the business owner as unprofessional and combative/rude.

Based on numerous reports of unfulfilled orders (and I'm talking 20 or 30 here - with waits of up to 12 months in some cases with no communication at all) I'd not recommend Creamtone to anybody.

As mentioned, cream covers all sorts of colours. Its hard to get something right, mainly as monitors and photos never run true to original colour.
The vintage cream for PAF winders is also Ivory, which if you look for cream you'll never get close to. Second part here is that vintage Gibson plastics were never Ivory either, so there was a mismatch then too.....which anyone trying to make vintage parts for will deliberately attempt to replicate.

Creamtone was super responsive and already gave me a shipping label so maybe they are turning it around.

I just want to roll the dice and see if I can get a pickguard that isn't pink. Worth $20 to try.

Creamtone colors are great. Definitely not pink. You will be pleased.

You were right! Got it today. Much better match to the double cream pickups. Not pink. Shipped right on time. All high fives.

It takes 3 to 4 weeks. I have done it with Fenders parts with good success.

I just got some new rings, pickguard, poker chip, and jack plate from MojoAxe. Dan does VERY good work.

I have a Creamtone bridge and TP I got off reverb and they look FANTASTIC. That said, something happened and Lonnie shut down for a while and didn't appear to respond to emails. My guess is that it was a health issue or something.

Yep I have a 2011 and I do not have that pink-cream I have seen it and I am also not a fan.

To be clear........I think all "creams" are inconsistent. That's ok.

In my case, the Trad Pro is not truly cream.......it is listed as "antique" which is what I suspect is why the pink hue is coming through here. All good.
