Re: Gibson Les Paul Tribute gets a makeover

I think I paid just over $100 for the Dean EVO FT on ebay. It had a couple of dings but was in pretty good shape. That guitar is a real good player. It's a flat top and probably the best bang for the buck guitar I've ever bought. I have a few Dean imports and besides a Korean Hardtail, that cheap EVO FT is probably my favorite Dean. And I kept the Korean Hardtail over a USA Hardtail. They weren't all great but a good import Dean was/is a pretty good guitar.

My Cadi's top doesn't have a ton of arch but yeah, it's an archtop. I saw a red quilt Cadi on ebay back in the 2000's. I'm guessing it was maybe a prototype because I've never seen another red quilt. It was either a great looking top or a great photographer. Definitely not a photo top, probably a veneer but the top looked awesome, really deep. I don't really dig red guitars and don't like to buy online (although I do it) but I kind of regret not buying that Cadi.

This really did turn out great. It is like a 70s LP without all the stuff I don't like about 70s LPs.

Hi all. Recently joined and had to speak up when I heard how much you dig the '59er from Guitar Madness. I snagged one myself for the bridge of one of my Pacificas and am having it installed Thursday. Had read a couple of reviews from others that were really happy with them and figured I would try one out. Found it on reverb for about $18 delivered and said what the hell. Definitely have taken much more expensive "risks" in the past. I'll let you know how it turns out.......had also heard they were rebranded Artecs myself.
