Gibson Les Paul with SD Hot Rodded set

Hi Fellows,

I've got a Gibson Les Paul with SD Hot Rodded humbuckers set.
I do have the feeling the distance between the pickups and the strings isn't correct.

Can you please, tell me what should be the height of the pickups (Neck and Bridge)?

I haven't seen a recommendation from Duncan for their pickup heights.

I usually use the stock Gibson heights and just tweak it from there.

That article should be stickied somewhere, if not already. It's the only Duncan reference to a very commonly asked question that I've seen.

mine is set here

Bridge low E ------ 4mm
Bridge High E----- 2mm

Neck low E -------- 4.75mm
Neck High E -------4mm

mine is a bit close but I can roll the volume up to get nice breakup
and back off about 1/4 turn and it cleans up great
