Check these mothers out! I also saw a new Explorer Pro, and FLYING V PRO in the works, on Gibson's Facebook page!

I read about those recently. They're a Guitar Center Exclusive. I need to get to Nashville and check one out. I heard they go for $1800, which I think is a pretty good deal.

Re: Gibson LP Trad with P-90s!

Yeah, they're GC Exclusives. Same with the Explorer, and V. I also heard the same, on the price. But, what I really want to know is, how much for the V?!

Re: Gibson LP Trad with P-90s!

The only thing is, if you prefer a '50s, or '60s neck, you're stuck with only one color option. It figures; I'd want the goldtop with a '60s neck, and it only comes with the '50s.:banghead:

Re: Gibson LP Trad with P-90s!

It's a really crummy video, but here's a little preview of the Explorer, and V.

Re: Gibson LP Trad with P-90s!

That goldtop is awesome... but there's just something about the black one that speaks to me! Very awesome!

Re: Gibson LP Trad with P-90s!

I personally think the black one would look better with a cream/white pickguard and cream/white pickups, but that's no biggie to change.

Re: Gibson LP Trad with P-90s!

That does look good! But, I also kind of like how the black parts almost make it look like a Custom!

Re: Gibson LP Trad with P-90s!

multipiece bodies short tenons and swiss cheese holes? No thanks. thats not a les paul.

Okay. You're right. The only ones that are "real" have one (or two?) piece bodies, long tenons, and no weight relief. HOLY ****! That means virtually EVERYONE who has bought a new a Les Paul for the past few DECADES has a fake one!

Dude, REALLY? Go **** on someone else's thread.

Re: Gibson LP Trad with P-90s!

Just a fun fact I'd like to share.

Gibson has said that they've always weight relieved heavy LPs. They have even been late 50s LP specimens they have found that are weight relieved. They've been doing this forever.

Really? I've always read that the weight relieving started in the '80s. ???

I'm not saying you're wrong, but can you post a link, where this is stated? (FTR, I really don't care either way. A good sounding Les Paul, is a good sounding Les Paul, AFAIC.)
