Gibson Melody Maker SG

A local shop is blasting them out at 399 dollars so I went for it. It came with a weird Gibson pickup called a 491T which was over the top hot so I replaced it with an old Burstbucker I had kicking around.

It is a cool guitar...unplugged the maple body and fingerboard give it an almost tele quality. The bright Burstbucker keeps that tele sort of twang alive but gives it some extra grunt.

Its a fun little guitar

Nice, I wish I'd find a place selling them at this price on my side of the border, I'd grab one in a heartbeat.

How weird... I pulled the trigger on the same guitar around the time you posted this. :scratchch Gonna hear the p'up for myself, but I do have a patb-3 lying around.

Congrats. It looks great. And that's a lot closer to the right price for those guitars. I love my '03 MM; it is one of my main guitars. But they were only $350 to $425 back then. They have since changed the specs and raised the prices.
