Re: Gibson music store pics

Alright, I get it. Gibsons are great guitars and I still can't afford them. Thanks buddy.

What's the deal with the second one from the left? It has a first baseman's glove and baseball on the front. I also notice a baseball and something else on the pickguard. Is that also a bat on the fretboard? It's not something I would own I don't think, but I find it rather interesting.

It's a darn good thing that smaller Gibson dealers have fine, upstanding and considerate customers like you who post pictures of their wares online out of the sheer sweetness of your heart, given Gibson's current internet policy of disallowing dealers to post pictures of their stock... ;)

Don't stop, by the way. I enjoy these threads.

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say that the white R7 is probably amongst the most amazing LPs I've ever seen. I'd love to have that guitar. Over any other current production LP for that matter. Good god. I've not lusted after a guitar in a long while, however, that picture makes me wish I had an extra $3k or so around. I think white guitars look amazing.

It reminds me a lot of my favorite singlecut. But confirms my belief that I need some amber knobs on my PRS.

Though I'd still love to have that gibbo. I'd like a shorter scale singlecut and the SC245 doesn't come in enough finishes, IMO.

Re: Gibson music store pics

uh...have to change my pants now. Only thing missing is a darkburst R8 in this lineup.

Re: Gibson music store pics

TC, if you recall, how much was the white R7 going for?
I didn't ask, I was afraid I'd end up buying it.

The baseball guitar is a one-off custom shop that has a baseball bat inlay and the glove on the body, the pickguard has some sort of banner on it. The owner actually bought that for his son who loves guitars and is about to go on to play college baseball, so it's a neat collectible for them. He just likes to keep it displayed in the store, but its not for sale.

Re: Gibson music store pics

I could totally see Zakk buying his buddy Mike Piazza that baseball Les Paul, or whatever it's called.
