Gibson Peter Frampton Neck Radius?

Re: Gibson Peter Frampton Neck Radius?

Since Peter's barely 5 feet tall, I think it's fairly safe to assume it's a thinner '60's style neck.

Gibson's are usually 14" radius but he may have requested it differently have you checked with Gibson?

He's asking for neck radius which is the curvature of the finger board. You are describing profile which is the size and shape of the neck itself.

thanks! From what I could find on the Gibson site they were vague (or of course I missed it).
Thanks again...

Re: Gibson Peter Frampton Neck Radius?

Unless Gibson has another page that describes the specs better the details are pretty poor at http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-Custom/Peter-Frampton-Les-Paul.aspx

Apart from the neck radius it would be nice to know the nut width and how the three pickups are wired (and other stuff too...). Fender's site is much more informative, with a separate specs tab for each model.

Nut width is 1 11/16

The wiring is odd...the 3 way toggle is like a typical 2 pickup LP (neck - neck/bridge - bridge) then the normal neck volume and tone controls work on both the neck and bridge pickups, the bridge controls work only on the middle pickup which are always hot unless you turn it down.

What are you asking?
I was wondering if the current market price which seems to have dropped slightly in the last few months might be closer to a reasonable value for a Peter Frampton signature guitar - understanding the guitar is likely geared as much for investors as it is those who will play the guitar daily. Just wanted to receive some comments about the current price.
Thanks again though for the great info above!
