I have a 1985 MIJ Squier Strat that is simply the best playing guitar I have. The neck fits into my hand like a glove and I can rip through my usual wanking cleanly.
I didn't realize until I had the guitar for a few weeks that the scale is actually 24-3/4". When I got the guitar the first thing I noticed was that it looked small. Everything did. The headstock, the body, the size of the guitar. Found out that they indeed made guitars with the 24-3/4" scale, and I've read that the rest of the guitar was scaled as well. I can't prove that atm, as I don't have another Strat.
I have a line on another neck and was wondering if I can simply use a standard Strat body.
I know Warmoth makes necks that they call "conversion" necks that give you a 24-3/4" scale, that you attach to a standard Strat (or other) body.
Anyone know if this should be the case for any neck that is 24-3/4"?
I'll do pocket measurements tonight, and will measure the neck pocket to the bridge, to compare with a regular Strat body (hopefully someone can provide such a measurement, or I should be able to find it online somewhere).
