Gibson vs. heritage

If you play the right LP, it can be amazing. I played one last week at a shop that also had the Heritage line equivalent. And there was no comparison - the Heritage was a better quality instrument. Punchy pups to die for, without mud. Slightly thinner body. Really loved it.

Anyone had a similar experience?

A good Les Paul in an amazing guitar...the problem is that most of them suck! Older Pauls are great (by older I mean all the 50's guitars as well as the 68 and 69 customs and Gold tops...by 1970 they started to really suffer), and the new Historic Reissues are killer but I think they still suffer some quality control issues not to mentio that they are WAY overpriced!!! Hertigae makes some might fine guitars, with good woods, killer necks, lots of colors, and good hardware from the factory...they also have one of the top 10 worst looking headstock EVER but thats a different story! :smack: I love Hertiage guitars, and Guild guitars, and Hamer guitars, and Tokai, and Edwards, and pretty much anything that sounds like a Gibson that costs less and is a better guitar! IMO Heritage, Guild and Hamer are 3 of the most underrated guitar builders ever!
