Gibson with stock Floyd Rose!!

Has anybody out here ever played one of these? I've always wanted a Floyd Rose with the locking nut on my Les Paul but I just can't justify cutting into her. This thing looks bad ass! They apparently don't make them anymore and I'm sure its even tougher to find one out there left-handed :yell:

Can't say as I've seen one of those. I do remember the Les Pauls in the early 80's that came stock with Schaller's (I believe) on them.

Ah, the "freak of nature" Gibson. I see them pop up on eBay from time to time for pretty cheap. It's supposedly quite versatile, but I'm not exactly sure how you would balance out the frequencies of a minibucker, single coil and humbucker under one guitar.

I've seen a Floyd somewhere that was meant to be mounted on Les Pauls. It's a pretty rare beast, with the springs running underneath like a Kahler.

They put Floyds in SGs for a short time in the late 80's/early 90's. The tone sucked.

Just a kwik kwestion - doesn't a Nighthawk have a flat table as opposed to a Paul's contoured top?

Epi has a Floyd Rose LP Studio out right now.

Normal pickups in it though.

I don't think I love it enough to go through the custom shop so I'll just have to forget about it and go find a bridge to jump off of!!!
