Neither. In all practicality I just don't use that wide of a range of delay sounds; The Giga is just silly. Also, as line6 goes, I don't think once you get past analog/digital that there is much of a difference. But the presents are nice. I'd go:
Boss DD3 AND Ibanez AD9 or
A rack with LOTS of presets

i use the line6...it has 3 presets, and tap tempo, and up to 28 seconds of very intuitive looping.
also, it has lots of different types of delay that can double as different types of pedals- the sweep dealy makes a good auto wah, the echoplex model grunges up nicely as an overdrive, and the memory man model makes a good chorus too.

you can't beat the line6 delay for the features mentioned above. three presets that you get to program yourself, tap tempo (a big plus for me), and the looping capabilities all in one package. my only beef with it is that there's no easy way to use delay, then start looping just by hitting a button with your foot... you have to actually set the knobs to a different position to do looping.
pretty good unit though.
