Hi,
I am 60. I bought the first fuzz face in seattle, and have been trying
everything boost or distortion for 45 years. It boils down to this- I bought a
Sparkle Drive, and it sounded so good on a clean/grit mix it was perfect for
rhythm. At low volume sounded crunchy, and like a big loud Marshall turned down at the board, no attenuation, etc.
Needed a boost for leads, almost everything sounded like a fuzz pedal - including the famous TS 808. The only thing I could find was to use a 2nd S.Drive with a little more gain, less clean knob, tone a little sharper and volume up from 2-3 for rhythm to 4-5 for the lead S.D.
I am set, but got a call from a long time friend guitar tech who said I must try a V. Lab Giggity for a lead boost. So the question for my smart forum fellows is to tell me any thing about this pedal. No other pedal is in the running.
As I said, I love my 2 S. Drives for rhythm and lead. My friend made a big deal about this pedal. Thanks in advance.
