I posted a diff. version of this without any guitar soloing. Here it is with some soloing and a better mix. Anyone else out there using one of these... even as a paper weight? I wrote this tune BTW.

I'm using an '05 Heritage H150 -with Seth Lovers set pretty low/far from the strings - into a Pastrami Overdrive into a little practice Kay tube amp from 60s for the dirty rythm and lead - these were recorded with the built-in condenser mic on my Boss BR532 (digital 4 track).

The other rythm guitar is same guitar straight into the amp with an SM57 literally sitting on top of the amp with low volume on amp to get clean compressed sound.

Vocal was done with the SM57 as well.

Mixed with headphones - I have no room to set up my studio monitors - which is lame/tuff to get a good mix, but whatcha gonna do.

Very cool man, if you want good headphones get a pair of Sennheiser PX100's I use them for my mixing, they work pretty damn good.

Oh if you dont mind me asking, what amp is that in your avatar? Looks mighty fine.

It's a Silvertone, model 1335. 6L6s with a 15 inch speaker and aluminum chassis made in the mid fifties. It's the first tube amp I bought - about 15 years ago. I had bought a Boogie Subway Rocket, but it was rattling like all hell after I got it home. So back to Sam Ash in NY it went. I was the first one there in the morning and this Silvertone amp and a guitar were just put on the floor. I took the Silvertone home + $50 b/c the boogie was more expensive and have not looked back!

This thing is perfect for me - has a beautiful overdriven sound w/out any pedals, loud eough to gig with, but not too loud AND it cuts right through a band mix.

I'll have to post some sound clips of it when I get a chance.

Wow, that thing(tube wise) reminds me a lot of my silvertone. But mine is much more roughed up and ugly(I love the tone though) I've got a thing for silver tones. I will snap some pics of my twintwelve to show you some time.
