Godin Freeway; is There a Catch?

Re: Godin Freeway; is There a Catch?

And FWIW Seagull acoustics are the same parent company. I had an S6 but the neck was a bit wide for me... as for quality it was excellent. A lot of guitar for the money

That's why you get the S6 Slim! I have an old S6 too and even with a crack in the top she sounds great.

Found the higher end model I tried: http://www.godinguitars.com/godinpassion_rg3_31061_31078.html I would buy one of these any day!

I really wanted one of their redline guitars back when we had a bunch of B stocks in the store, but just couldn't spend any more $$ at that point.

Godin makes the only reasonably priced and dynamite sounding North American archtops. If you find one used, they are about 1/2 price of the new ones.

Re: Godin Freeway; is There a Catch?

Have wanted a Seagull Coastline; played a few six strings at Guitar Center... Def. on par with anything in the "expensive" room and one of the only things I came away wanting to buy today (didn't.)

Re: Godin Freeway; is There a Catch?

Godin guitars are well designed, with little touches that make them really fun to play. Many of the solid body designs look a little goofy, and they're not a well known brand which lowers the price a lot. They're worth checking out if you see them somewhere though.
