So i got a 59 in the bridge and wanted a chuncky distortion in the neck so i could play using both pick ups (middle postion of pick up selector) but everyone was telling me that neck pickups are too bassy, so i found a dimarzio that wasnt (according 2 them) check it out here:

the audio samples they only play high notes so i was wonder if any one had experience with it in the low strings? (d-tuning)

I dopn't have any experience with the Humbucker from hell, but the Jazz will match very well with the 59b if you want to keep it all Duncan.

yeah well is the jazz pup for jazz? cuase i was looking to play with distortion that was like nu metal almost.

ive got a HFH in my swamp ash warmoth strat. i really like it, it gives a really glassy, bell-like single coil tone. i love it. i just posted this link, but here it is again. its using the plexi model on my POD. on low strings, it sounds pretty nice, so i dont have any problems with it.http://www.soundclick.com/bands/3/clint41music.htm

any one know if it sounds ok to imitate hard rock (chunky, fat, crisp, distortion)

im sorry but why would you want chunky distortion form the neck? i understand for bridge but for neck?

anyways, tha name "jazz" is not really what it should be called. it's not meant for jazz, JOLLY uses a Jazz set and he plays metal. it sounds damn fine too

If you want chunky distortion, u use the bridge for that dont you? Like a fat sounding bridge pickup, and use the neck for clean and soleful solos. That way you get the most versatitly from your pickups. The HFH is a fairly bright pup in the neck isnt going to give you a chunky distortion it will give you a nice single coil like tone thats great with fast hi gain solos. (I dont think any neck humbucker will give you a chunky tight distortion).

The Humbucker From Hell is tonally like a big single-coil, so make sure you like that tone before you think about buying it.

so the people that tell me guitar can be a modders best friend. if your out there is it IMPOSSIBLE (not just hard; just use the bridge its easier) to have a chunky,fat, sounding distortion? (even if i have it switched to use my bridge and neck pup at the same time)

Don't let the name fool you. I have a Jazz in the neck position of my heritage 150 and I play hard rock. It's the amp more than the pups as far as the distortion goes. The Jazz is NOT boomy, in fact some don't like it because of its LACK of bass. It is not a high output pup so your amp has to do the work. Here is my review of my Jazz and A2P. Like someone said earlier the bucker from hell is a large single coil so make sure you like the tonal characteristics.

i dont know of anyone who uses the neck for chunky rhythms :?:

if you're gonna play stuff like nu-metal, then use a 59 for cleans. and use a distortioin for bridge
