Good but cheap amps/combos, recommend me something!

Yes, I was thinking about saving up for a Hughes & Kettner amp, but then I thought "maybe there's some amps/combos out there in just as good quality but for less money". So people, if you know some good, but not expensive amps/combos, recommend it to me, and if you know somewhere when I can hear some soundclips, that would be great. Also, I would like it to be at least 30 watts or around that.

Peavey Classic 30...or a Traynor...best bang for your buck amps out there!!!

i haven't played the Traynor but i have the Peavey...very nice and lots of mods out there for it too!

Hey sorry, maybe I should tell you what styles I want to play with it. I want to be able to play hard rock and different types of metal. And a nice clean channel would be fine. The custom axe I'm getting has a JB4 bridge pickup and a Jazz neck pickup, so if I could get it to sound awesome with that, that would be great.

Vox Valvetronix, Line6 Spider II. Both offered in 30 watt. Good price. Versatile. They are not going to be the best tube tone or anything, but the Valvetronix has a tube in the preamp. They'll do metal and rock well. The Valvetronix probably has better cleans, and is probably better sounding overall.

Get the peavey 40 watt Triple XXX. Its probably cheap on ebay.

The Tech 21 Trademark 60 is a great-sounding and versatile solid state amp with some really neat features. Excellent value for money in my experience.

For my nickle the Reverend Hellhound 40/60 does just fine!! 40 or 60 watts switchable, effects loop, 12' speaker, Fender cleans, Voxish, and Marshallish all in one all tube combo for about $500 used.
