Since it's not yours, I have no problem saying that I really don't like those goldtop McCartys. They just don't look right to me. Goldtops only really look good on LPs, IMO. That said, it's still a very nice guitar obviously.

First PRS I ever played was a McCarty goldtop...totally fell in love with that axe. I dunno, I think they look pretty killer with the natural binding.

Seems the GT's are usually the best deal in McCarty's. I go back and forth on GT's in general. I think the PRS looks better with P90's in that finish.

That one looks a TON better than the eBay one. <yoda-jewish speak>Perhaps it's just the angles/lighting, but the eBay one I didn't like, that one I like a lot.</yoda-jewish speak>

Mmmmm...very nice. I agree, that finish does look better with the P90's.

Maybe its the birds. The birds make all the difference ;).

The birds are the best inlays in the business, and they make the guitar look so much more badass than anything Fender has ever manufactured (I like Fender, but I hate dots). A chief reason why I like Gibson so much too. I like Fender, but why do they only use dots? They suck. Gretsch's inlays are cool too.

Anything less that $1300 for a McCarty is a giveaway. If I were looking, I'd snag it. I love auctions like this, because it's always funny to see who's cheap and holds out for a bid. Then, a smart shopper comes along and hits BIN. LOL

sweet deal. i agree the p90's look better. i think the_chris has one w/ p90's as he is the p90 fanatic of the forum
