From my research, most people try to put their guitars in the coat closet on flights, assuming one is available.

donaldr Well-known member Sep 29, 2020 #6 Crossrock Hybrid. One for my electric guitar and one for my bass guitar. More confident in that gig bag then a wood hard case. The higher-end gig bags are built like cars, they absorb the chock instead of passing the energy to the instrument inside.
